Each piece is examined on all sides for defects prohibited by the purchaser's specifications. Each accepted piece is AWW hammer branded in one end. A report detailing the inspection is issued to the purchaser.

Each treated charge is examined for damage, preservative retained and depth of preservative penetration. Each accepted piece is AWW hammer branded in one end (opposite material quality mark). A report detailing the inspection is issued to the purchaser.

INSPECTION DURING TREATMENT
|

|
The treating process is observed to assure conformance with the specification requirements. A sample of the preservative used in treatment is analyzed by the inspector in the laboratory at the treating plant.
